
General Info about King of Prussia Mall in Philadelphia: An Endless Selection of Luxury
The King of Prussia Mall is the biggest shopping mall along the Eastern Coast of the United States and is comfortably the biggest mall in terms of leasable renting space in the entire United States. King of Prussia is an area located on the northwestern end of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
When the mall first opened its doors, it was under the control of Kravco, a company which till date looks after the daily functioning of the mall and is now known as Kravco Simon. The mall stocks just about anything and everything ranging from the biggest designers like Cartier and Burberry to books to gadgets to clothes to music to even items that are required in everyday life.
The mall is two storeys tall, and spreads about two separate buildings. There are a multitude of department stores and the mall is classified under three specific sections- The Plaza, the Court and the Pavilion. The Plaza is the oldest part of the mall, having its existence since 1963. In the seventies, it temporarily became an enclosed mall housing only departmental giants such as JC Penney and Wanamaker's.
The area around the King of Prussia Mall is still not totally developed and is worth a visit for people who would like to take a stroll or just sit around. The King of Prussia Mall has the Valley Forge National Park which has quite a bit of historical relevance. The mall provides buses for its customers to get dropped off in front of the mall entrance on a regular basis. It is open from 10 am to 9 pm from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, it is open from 11 am to 6 pm.
