Parks & Gardens

Philadelphia Park is known for its casino and horse racetrack so if you want to have some fun you are welcome to make your Philadelphia travel come alive. The park is also notable for its several slot machines, which is believed to be 2, 912 in number and it is still growing. The park was once known as the Keystone Racetrack, which opened in the early 1970s. This was situated in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. In 1984, it was purchased by ITB. Soon the racetrack was given a new name with a modern turf course and then they introduced a new way to bet. This system is called the Phonebet.

However, in the late 1990s, it was again sold to another company called the Greenwood Racing, Inc. In 1998, they merged with the Penn National Gaming. They named their team as Pennwood.

The park was the host of the annual Pennsylvania State Fair from the year 1987 up to 2006. Meanwhile, the casino was born on September 27, 2006 when the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board awarded a slots license for the park. This was still conditional and it became permanent on December 20, 2006 after the casino opened. There are three levels in the players club. They are the elite, Premium and the Players Club in descending order.

There are electronic tables for games such as the roulette, poker and the blackjack. Now, what is a good time without fine dining? Your travel Philadelphia experience is something to be proud about as you eat at any of the two open restaurants in the site. They are the Grab-N-Go and the Park Grille. As you chow down the food, you can enjoy entertainment as well.
