The Walnut Street Theatre

This theater is one of the oldest in the Country and plays, musicals are staged even today. It has been designated as National Historic Landmark and is popular as having the largest subscription base in the United States. It has many important historical firsts to its credit, like the first one to install gas footlights and air conditioning. It also has a school called the Walnut Street Theatre School where training is given for theatre shows. These courses are usually on weekends or evenings.
