Please Touch Museum

With a truly unique name for a museum, the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia is a treat for children of all ages. Focused entirely on educating children through interaction, the aim of the museum is making children learn by exploration, involving fun filled interactive exhibits, play areas and a large host of special events.

After being relocated a number of times since its opening in 1976; the current location is the largest home of the museum and houses a large variety of attractions like play areas including Alice in Wonderland and River Adventures, replica of the arm and torch of the world famous Statue of Liberty, the 9th ABC Games which include competitions in Climbing Rock Wall, Monkey Bars, Spring Vaults etc, the Flight Fantasy that allows the kids to simulate real world flying and teaches them co-ordination, balance and speed and a lot more.

Director Laura Foster has done a good job in making the place a popular Philadelphia travel attraction. Open from Monday to Saturday from 9 in the morning to 5 in the evening and from 11 to 5 on Sunday, the museum is located in Fairmount Park and is easily accessible. Entry for members and kids under the age of one is free and for other visitors is $12.
