The Woodmore Art Museum is one of the largest American museums. Also known as the Philadelphia Art Museum, this famous tourist spot attracts visitors from every corner of the globe. The Museum first opened in 1940. The building which is a magnificent i9th century Victorian mansion, the surrounding grounds and the core collection (2000 exhibits) of the Museum was sponsored by Charles Knox Smith.

Now the Museum has more than 2500 piece of exhibits. The Woodmore Art Museum includes nine unique galleries and salons. The Children’s gallery is a major attraction. The Museum holds the works of artists of Philadelphia and surrounding regions. Other than the permanent exhibits the Philadelphia art Museum also houses some special exhibits every year. The Museum is spread on six acres land.

The Museum is open from 10 am to 5pm from Tuesday to Friday.

On Saturday the timing is 1pm to 5pm.

There is no admission fee to enter the Museum.
